Final Fantasy 16 Excalibur Sword Guide: How To Score The Legendary Weapon

Final Fantasy games are known for letting you craft uber weapons to help you out. Apart from the Ultima Weapon which you can get craft after completing the game once. there’s also the Excalibur sword. You can get this mid-way in the game; here’s how you can get it.

Final Fantasy XVI: How To Get Excalibur

You can get Excalibur by crafting it during the sidequest “Blacksmith’s Blues II”. You can get this sidequest from Blackthorne the Blacksmith; you’ll need to finish the first part of the Blacksmith’s Blues quest first.

Head to your desk in your room at the Hideaway; you’ll see a letter called “About Blackthorne”. After reading the letter, speak to Blackthorne. Once you’ve started “Blacksmith’s Blues II”, talk to Blackthorne and Charon.

Head to your map and fast-travel to Dalimil. Speak to Ignac; he is upstairs in the tavern. You’ll be tasked to retrieve items from bandits.

Head to Velkroy Desert; defeat the bandits in the northeastern section of the map. After you defeat them, you will head back to Dalimil Inn; job well done!

Head to Blackthorne’s at the Hideaway to wrap up the quest; you’ll get the Excalibur Design Draft to make the Excalibur sword. To make the sword, you need to get the following materials:

• Wyrrite x300
• Grimalkin Hide x1 (kill Grimalkin in a Hunt quest)
• Bomb Ember x1 (kill Bomb King in a  Hunt quest)
• Scarletite x1 (kill Fastitocalon in a Hunt quest)
