Palworld: The Best Pals For Your Every Need

With 111 pals in the game, you’ve got a ton of options to either place your favourite pals in your party, or leave some pals at your base. Some are of course, better than others, and some are more productive. Finding the right pals to form your workforce is important, so let’s take a look at your options!

Before you begin, do check out our other Palworld guides from breeding techniques to resource locations.

BEST HANDIWORK PALS

Work speed can be a menace sometimes but thank heavens for pals, right? Here are some pals that will help you with the crafting and such!

EARLY GAME

Tanzee is honestly the perfect pal for early game. He/She is a jack of all trades and spawns in the starter zone.

MID GAME

Verdash has Level 3 Handiwork which is pretty neat. Again, a Jack of All Trades, Verdash is a really good pal to have at base.

LATE GAME

Anubis is the BEST PAL for handiwork as he is the only Level 4 Handiwork pal that you can obtain. It’s a challenge to get him but luckily for you there are multiple ways to breed this pal. Not just that, but he has Level 3 Mining, and Level 2 Transporting, which makes him amazing to leave back at your base to farm for you!

BEST GATHERING PALS

Gathering is rather important for you and your pals. Your base needs a gathering pal to harvest the crops that have been fully grown. Don’t forget to have a watering pal in your base as well, to automate the plantations. Add some Flower Beds to passively boost the work speed of any task that requires Gathering!

MID GAME

Nitewing is one of the easiest pals to catch and is seen also very early game. They’re only work is to gather and it is at Level 2, which is pretty nice so they won’t get sidetracked with other tasks.

Verdash looks like the daddy/mummy of Tanzee, and honestly is the better version of Tanzee. They are absolutely amazing at multi-tasking. It can transport whatever crops it plants and harvests and that’s not it. This pal also does some handiworking on the side.

END GAME

Frostallion Noct is the only pal that has Gathering at Level 4, which is pretty damn nice. however, the only way to get Frostallion Noct as of now is by breeding a Frostallion and Helzephyr together. Frostallion is a Legendary Pal that can be found east of the Land of Absolute Zero teleport point and is found at the coordinates -357, 508.

BEST KINDLING PALS

Kindling tasks are done by fire element pals. They smelt ingots and also cook for you. Trust me, these pals are heckin important for your cake making.

EARLY GAME

Foxsparks is adorable and luckily enough spawns near the starter area. They only have Level 1 Kindling but that will be enough for a starter base.

MID GAME

Arsox is a big upgrade from Foxsparks especially since you can ride them. It has Level 2 Kindling but it also has Level 1 Lumbering, so it’s helpful in other ways.

Blazehowl is an even bigger upgrade. They may be bulky but they cook cakes fast, and really all you need. Blazehowl is a bit harder to catch but is easily bred. Level 3 Kindling and Level 2 Lumbering, a +1 to an Arsox.

END GAME

Jormuntide Ignis can be found at No. 2 Wildlife Sanctuary found at the northwest part of the map. This is also northwest of the Ruined Fortress City teleport point. They are also available during the day/night cycle. They are a Level 4 Kindling, and that makes it best for cooking or smelting. They won’t get distracted and well, FAST CAKES.

BEST TRANSPORTING PALS

Transporting things can be a pain. Items from the ranches, from mining, lumbering, all these items will be transported by certain pals. It’s important for you to also make sure you use a speedy pal because they only pick items up one by one.

MID GAME

Helzephyr is the best pal for transporting, mid game. In my opinion, it is also the most reliable even for end game. Since they are only Level 3 Transporting, it can focus on transporting all the items around the base for you. Helzephyr is a Dark element pal and can only be found during the Night. It can however be bred with many different pals.

END GAME

Wumpo the big snowball pal has the highest level for transporting, which is at Level 4. One of the downsides, is that Wumpo also does other work which means he won’t just focus on Transporting. If you have Wumbo in your party, they also increase the player’s max carrying capacity. Wumpo can be found during the day and night cycle, but is easily obtained by breeding.

BEST MEDICINE PRODUCTION PALS

Medicine is important to keep your pals in top notch shape. As of now, the highest level for medicine production is at Level 3, unlike the other work suitability. Later on, you will be able to craft a cauldron to increase the craft speed for medicine.

EARLY GAME

This adorable leafy pal called Lifmunk is easy to get since it is also found in the starter area. It may have other work suitability, but Medicine Production is at Level 1.

END GAME

Katress is easily obtainable since they are a mini boss near the starter area. You just need a decent level to go get them. They have Level 2 Medicine Production which is pretty helpful.

Felbat is my favourite pal that I always keep in my party. They have Level 3 Medicine Production, but best of all, they have the Life Steal passive. Whenever you do damage, you also steal Health which is neat against higher level pals. Felbat is also the most reliable pal for medicine production since they only have medicine production as their work suitability.

BEST ELECTRICITY GENERATION PALS

You don’t really need electricity til mid game in Palworld. Electricity is needed at the base to power up some crafting stations.

Relaxaurus Lux is a mini boss you will find in a dungeon. It’s not very difficult to defeat but be prepared with some big spheres!

BEST WATERING PALS

EARLY GAME

Surfent is an adorable water type pal which is a very reliable watering pal early and mid game. They have Level 2 Watering which will help your every water need! You can purchase them from the Black Marketeer over the map, or catch them during the day/night cycles. You can also breed the Surfent from early game pals.

MID GAME

Azurobe is a Level 3 Watering pal which can be found at No. 1 Wildlife Sanctuary. It is a mini boss and can easily obtained at lower levels, so go forth and defeat this pesky pal.

END GAME

Jormuntide is a high level boss at Level 4, which you will find swimming around a lake at the coordinates -176, -268. You can also find them at the coordinates 351, -85, with a giant skeleton. They are the only pal that has Level 4 Watering.
