[Report] Final Fantasy 16 Copies Are Out In The Wild Ahead Of Release; Be Careful!

You can’t keep a popular role-playing game series like the sixteenth mothership Final Fantasy entry down.

Despite Final Fantasy 16 having a 22 June release date, it seems that some people are playing with fire and are procuring early copies ahead of its official release. This is according to recent social media users who posted screenshots and copies of the game in their hands (via Video Game Chronicle).

Retail leaks of modern games may be common (see Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for a recent example), but FF16 is in people’s hands, meaning social media may be heavily populated with spoilers.

So if you plan to play the game fresh, you may want to stay away from Twitter, Reddit, and other social media platforms for the next few days. Rest assured, we won’t be posting spoilers here.

No doubt Square Enix will post a statement regarding this. In the meantime, the Final Fantasy 16 demo is out right now.
