Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake Is Reportedly In The Works

It seems that Ubisoft is allegedly working on a remake of 2014’s Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag. According to a report from Kotaku, sources claim that an Assassin’s Creed Black Flag remake is currently in its earliest stages of development and will still require several more years of work before it’s completed.

The same report also claims that Ubisoft Singapore, the studio currently working on Skull And Bones, will be heavily involved in helping to remake Assassin’s Creed Black Flag.

However, we should take this with a grain of salt for now, especially considering that Skull And Bones is only set to launch sometime next year, and that’s only if it doesn’t get delayed again. A Skull And Bones closed beta is coming in August 2023. Last month in June 2023, the annual Ubisoft Forward showcase featured Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade and more, but there was no mention of an Assassin’s Creed Black Flag remake.

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag originally launched for the PS3 and Xbox 360 back in 2013, which means that the game is officially a decade old in 2023.
