Bleach Anime Is Possibly Getting A New Fighting Game After 13 Years
Thanks to the popularity of shonen anime Bleach’s Thousand-Year Blood War arc in animated form, we’re getting a new Bleach video game.
Publisher Nuverse (of Marvel Snap) has announced a 3D fighting action game called Bleach: Soul Resonance. It features playable characters from the show like Ichigo, Orihime, Ishida, Zaraki Kenpachi, and Byakuya Kuchiki, “low latency combat experience with weapons and swords”, and strategic battles. It’s looking similar to other shonen anime 3D action titles like Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series or the recently-announced Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash; so far, all of the gameplay are 1v1 fights.
No platform has been announced yet, but something tells us this may be a mobile game. After all, the last non-fighting Bleach game, Bleach: Brave Souls, has seen tremendous free-to-play success since 2016 for iOS and Android. Regardless of platform, the trailer below showcases some nice anime 1v1 action, highlighting the anime/manga’s Soul Society arc battles featuring Zaraki and Byakuya.
