MPL Malaysia Returns With Season 12 & Announces MLBB Wild Card Event In Malaysia
The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Malaysia (MPL MY) is making a grand comeback with Season 12, and it’s going to be an epic showdown as ten qualifying teams take on the challenge of carrying the #pantangmengalah spirit to the global stage at the MLBB M5 World Championship 2023.
Brought to you by MOONTON Games and presented by Hotlink, the press conference for the MPL MY S12 launch and M5 Wild Card announcement was great! It featured an industry panel session moderated by Fikri from MPL Malaysia, where they discussed how to boost the esports scene in our country. The panel had some heavy hitters, including Simon Lim from Selangor FC Esport, Nureddy “DaddyHood” Nursal from HomeBois, Fadzli Rahim from Esports Integrated (ESI), and Silvin See from Nescafe.
Now, brace yourselves for the revamped arena and bigger challenges in Season 12! The new emblem revamp is going to spice things up, allowing players to explore fresh angles with their heroes and playstyles. It’s all about triggering specific effects and going beyond the typical character roles. Expect new strategies and meta to take the spotlight, giving other teams a chance to prove themselves and go from #ZerotoHero.
Talking about changes, there have been some major team transfers this season, with teams going all-in to secure victory. Notable moves include Skadaga (ex-HomeBois Coach) joining RSG MY, Stowm (OMG) also joining RSG MY, Exort (RSG PH) making his way to RED Esports, and Super Red (BLCK) and Pancake (ONIC) joining RG, just to name a few.
One team you don’t want to underestimate is TODAK, as they’ve made significant changes to their roster, including bringing in Kuja as a Coach, along with Martzy and HazelnuT joining their ranks. They’re set to be a formidable opponent, along with other strong contenders like Red Giant, Team SMG, and HomeBois.
Mark your calendars! The action-packed Regular Season kicks off from 18th August to 24th September, with playoffs happening from 5th to 8th October. The battle for national glory takes centre stage at M5, and you won’t want to miss it!
All the action will unfold at Dewan Sri Putra, Bukit Jalil, accommodating up to 600 pax. You can walk in or reserve your seats a week in advance every Thursday. Best part? It’s all free of charge! So, come out and support your favourite teams!
