Minecraft Dungeons Ends Support, Game Hits 25 Million Players
Turning Minecraft into a simple action RPG for babies can do wonders for your brand.
Mojang has announced that Minecraft Dungeons has surpassed 25 million unique players. However, the company will be ending support for the co-developed-with-Microsoft-and-Double-Eleven action RPG after 3 years of being in active service. Update 1.7 is the last patch for the game, with the team moving on to “new projects that continue to explore experiences in the Minecraft universe”.
“We do intend to continue bringing new experiences to the Minecraft universe and give our team the freedom to keep exploring the types of games they’re passionate about – just as they did with Dungeons.”
Minecraft Dungeons is available right now for PC and Xbox consoles. While not an especially deep game, the game is fun for all ages and for anyone who wants a simple action RPG romp.
