Mortal Kombat 1 Reveals Official Jean-Claude Van Damme Trailer

NetherRealm Studios has released a new trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 providing a first glimpse at the Jean-Claude Van Damme character skin for playable character Johnny Cage. The skin can be unlocked for those players who purchase the title’s Premium Edition.

The trailer was released after the first Van Damme footage was shown during an interview with co-creator Ed Boon, who appeared on First We Feast’s Hot Ones.

Boon said the Van Damme DLC had been in development for 30 years. He explained: “When we made the very first game, our intention was to make Van Damme: The Arcade Game.

The Jean-Claude Van Damme skin features his voice and likeness, and it is included with the Kombat Pack, which contains early access to six downloadable content characters—Quan Chi, Ermac, Takeda Takahashi, Peacemaker, Omni-Man, Homelander as well as five upcoming Kameo Fighters.

Pre-orders are now open for those who would like to get their hands on the game early. There are three editions: Standard, Premium, and Kollector’s.

Mortal Kombat 1 is slated to launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on 20 September 2023.
