Hexen-Inspired Fantasy FPS “Wizordum” Enters Early Access This November
By Xandria Morden|October 3, 2023|0 Comment
Emberheart Games’ retro fantasy FPS, “Wizordum,” published by Apogee Entertainment, brings forth a battle against Chaos on Steam Early Access this 15th of November. Wizordum will be available on Steam for $14.99. The demo is currently available.
Harness ancient magic against spreading Chaos. As a formidable Wizordum mage, explore grimy sewers, decaying dungeons, and haunted cemeteries. Battle foes with maces and incendiary spells. Solve puzzles and speed through intricate levels. Create custom dungeons with the in-game editor.
You can also create and save your own adventures or full episodes using the in-game editor. Enjoy the nostalgic Wizordum soundtrack, soon available on Apogee Music, inspired by classic ’90s and 2000s games like Ultima and Elder Scrolls. Choose a retro option for Roland MT-32 mode. Plus, savor key artwork hand-painted by renowned Origin Systems illustrator Denis Loubet (known for Ultima and Wing Commander).
“When I was younger, I was captivated with fantasy FPS titles like Hexen and Heretic. Wizordum is the perfect combination of past and present, with old-school maze-like brain teasers combined with modern comforts for a smooth gameplay experience. We have much more to show in a few weeks, stay tuned!” – Primož Vovk, developer at Emberheart Games.
