Meet The Ringmaster, Dota 2’s Latest & Greatest Showman
Although The International 2023 grand finals just wrapped up, let’s switch focus just for a second as Dota 2’s newest hero has just stepped into the arena… Or circus?
Meet The Ringmaster, the freshest addition to the MOBA’s roster following the arrival of Muerta. Valve dropped the trailer teasing the circus maestro during this year’s The International just after the Lower Bracket Final where Gaimin Gladiators, impressively, swept LGD Gaming, 2–0.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get a full-on look at his kit as the trailer only showcases him playing mind games with Axe, leading our brawny friend on with a Kobold Foreman toward what seems like a carnival-like setup.
Once inside, a crazy contraption unfolds, posing as a strength-testing game for Axe. Crafty artwork of Mogul Khan adorns it, luring our tough guy into showing off his strength. But surprise, surprise! It’s a trap! Mechanical arms shoot out and grab Axe, pulling him into the gadget.
Finally, in the trailer’s last moments, we catch a glimpse of the Ringmaster in the end card. He’s a lean and slender gentleman with what seems like some mechanical bits bolted onto him.
So far it seems like this hero’s a bit of a trickster, conjuring up devices to snare other heroes. Think trapping skills, maybe akin to those sneaky Techies. Sounds like he’s all about outsmarting his opponents. But we’ll just have to wait and see to confirm his actual kit.
