The director, Ji Won Choi, confirmed that a sequel for the game Lies of P is in the works. He revealed this information in a video update.

Currently, the development team’s primary focus is on creating downloadable content (DLC) and working on the sequel. Choi emphasized their dedication and extensive brainstorming efforts in various project aspects.

Teasing the upcoming DLC, Choi shared two artwork pieces, one of which depicts a shipwreck, hinting that the DLC holds exciting developments. He encouraged players to let their imaginations run wild and look forward to what’s coming next.

Additionally, Choi announced an upcoming patch scheduled for this month that will bring substantial changes to weapon and character balance. Quality-of-life updates are also in the works to alleviate the game’s initial difficulty.

Lies of P was initially launched in September for Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC via Steam, and was available on Game Pass at its release. It received favorable scores on Metacritic, with an 80 for PS5, 83 for PC, and 84 for Xbox Series X/S. Developer and publisher Neowiz reported that the game sold over a million copies in its first month of availability.
