Super Mario Bros. Wonder Sold 4.3 Million Units In The Past Few Weeks
Another new Mario game means another milestone for Nintendo. While some of us thought the new Super Mario Bros. Wonder film was fine, everyone else in the world is thrilled to buy the game during its debut week of 20th October.
And it shows (via Wario64)! The game sold 4.3 million units through 2 weeks after its release on Nintendo Switch. According to Nintendo, the game is the biggest and fastest-selling release of a Super Mario title in a long while.
Nintendo also stated that the game will sell consistently over a long period and will be an appealing choice for the holiday season (and for holiday occasions next year). That part is at least true: there’s no denying the staying power of a brand-new 2D Mario title, especially one made so easy and all-ages-savvy that even brain-dead non-gamers can at least complete the first three worlds.
