A Hunter X Hunter Fighting Game Is In The Works By Bushiroad Games

Publisher Bushiroad Games and developer Eighting will be making a fighting game on a long-existing anime franchise: Hunter x Hunter.

The title is billed as a”full-scale fighting game” (via Dengeki Online), but whether it’s a 2D one or a 3D one (or a 3D arena type *shudder) remains to be seen. We will be getting more information on 6 January 2024 during the Bushiroad New Year Presentation 2024.

Fighting games based on anime are commonplace, but they’re mostly arena brawlers that favour flashiness and source material accuracy over balance and long-term play offline and online. Remember Jump Force? Yeah, thought so. Hopefully, this title is one that fans of both genres can take seriously.
