Demon Slayer Sweep The Board Is Coming To Switch Next April

SEGA has confirmed that Demon Slayer will be getting a multiplayer game titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Sweep the Board! The game promises both local and online play, minigames, iconic landmarks from the anime, and many more.

There are many iconic characters available in the game, including Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibira as well as the nine Hashiras.

Players embark on an exciting four-player journey within the Demon Slayer board game, navigating its intricate path by utilizing the roll of dice. As they progress, players will encounter various challenges that test their skills and determination. The key to success in this board game lies in the accumulation of Slayer Coins and Rank Points (RP). Slayer Coins serve multiple purposes, allowing players to purchase valuable items from merchants and unlock additional features on the board. However, mastering the management of Slayer Coins is crucial, as the player with the highest RP at the end of the game will be hailed as the Strongest Demon Slayer swordsman.

To add an extra layer of strategy and excitement to gameplay, each Demon Slayer possesses a unique Slayer dice with powerful effects. These dice offer players the opportunity to strategically enhance their abilities, however, players must be cautious as they are subject to cooldown periods of three turns before they can be used again.

These playable boards will be themed after the anime locations such as Mount Fujikasane, Asakusa, Tsuzumi Mansion, Mount Natagumo, and Mugen Train.

Several minigames will be featured in the game with a twist based on the anime series, and the time of day will play a significant role in shaping the gameplay experience. As the sun sets and night falls, players will encounter familiar characters and team up to defeat demons. The following minigames revealed are:

  • Sneaky Sword Styling – Hide from Kanamori as you customize Inosuke’s jagged sword.
  • Team Memory Matching – A 2v2 team battle! Work together in a team to match cards with the same image.
  • Tanjiro’s Total Concentration Training – Tanjiro needs help with his Total Concentration training.
  • Knock ‘Em Out! Chanbara Swordplay – Try to push your opponent out of the zone.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board! is slated to launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch on 26 April 2024.
