Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Release Is Possible After May 2024
A special PlayStation State Of Play livestream took place earlier today and revealed some new details about the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. What’s most interesting is a little detail at the end of the livestream, which confirms that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a timed exclusive on the PS5, just like Final Fantasy VII Remake.
According to the livestream, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be a timed exclusive for the PS5 until 29 May 2024.
While that doesn’t necessarily confirm that a PC version of the game will launch near that date, it does mean that after that specific date, Square Enix can release the game on other platforms. Realistically, the earliest release date for a PC version of the game is at least a year away from the PS5 version.
It’s been almost four years since Final Fantasy VII Remake when Final Fantasy VII Rebirth eventually launches for the PS5 on 29 February 2024.
In the meantime, check out our interviews with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth producer Yosuke Futami and director Naoki Hamaguchi.
