Paradox’s Life By You Delayed Once Again; Out In June
By Ali'sha Harris|February 5, 2024|0 Comment
Publisher Paradox Interactive and developer Paradox Tectonic have confirmed their ambitious open-world Sims rival, Life by You, will be delayed for three months instead of its previously planned 5 March 2024 Early Access release window.
Announced in an official blog post, the cause of the delay was made “to ensure that it’s as smooth and fun for you as possible, and lays a strong foundation for building out Life by You during Early Access.” This marks the second delay for the game, as it was originally expected to launch in September last year, but was postponed to March this year, and now on June 2024.
Further explaining why the extra development time was necessary was covered in a Q&A, which addressed a variety of questions you might have. Don’t expect the game to be fully finished out of the box in June, since it will still be an early access release. In terms of specifics, dealing with several bugs will be one of the main aspects of the game that will be worked on in the next few months, along with general performance and stability.
Even though the studio is satisfied with many of the improvements Life by You has made, Paradox wants to improve the character art, which hasn’t yet reached the high standard it has set for itself. Therefore, it plans to improve proportions, character idles and facial animations, reduce clothing clipping, and smoother animation transitions.
On top of all that, the developer also plans to work on improving the build mode, various gameplay refinements, and mod tool usability. The full blog post also goes into things like pre-order bonuses, as well as some other details, so it’s worth a read if you’ve been looking forward to Life by You.
Life by You is now scheduled for release on 4 June 2024 for PC via Epic Games Store and Steam.
