Tekken 8 Shows Off More Eddy Gordo In Latest Livestream

At the end of the Tekken 8 post-game roadmap livestream, Bandai Namco capped the show off with a 20-minute demo of the upcoming Season 1 character Eddy Gordo.

The capoeira fighter -who debuted in Tekken 3 aeons ago- is now easier to use in Tekken 8, according to producers Katsuhiro Harada and Michael Murray. He can transition to his stances easily, and still has a wide range of mixups he’s known for. His Heat install lets him execute his stance-specific attacks without spending extra time getting into his animations, and he can also cancel the Heat initial attack with a stance switch; pretty flexible stuff!

Here are the costumes that are available when you have Eddy in your roster. Note that the third one is his Tekken 7 outfit.

Check out the rest of his gameplay in this 20-minute showcase. Eddy Gordo will be out in Spring 2024 via the Season 1 DLC pass. For more on Tekken 8’s roadmap & the rest of the Season 1 fighters’ launch months, head here.
