Holo X Break Is A New VTuber Fangame From The Developers Of Holocure
By Jonathan Toyad|March 17, 2024|0 Comment
The Vtuber fan game space will be adding a new genre to the mix next to bullet heaven and 2D fighting: a side-scrolling beat-em-up!
A new 2D game called Holo X Break was just announced today, by the same team that made HoloCure. Like I said earlier, it’s a 2D beat-em-up like your Streets of Rage and Final Fight titles, but with cute graphics and VTubers as selectable characters beating the crap out of minions summoned by bad guys who call themselves holoX.
“It was your usual daily life over at hololive HQ in Holo City, until one day their CEO mysteriously disappears!
Moments later, a nefarious organization who called themselves “holoX, the Secret Society” announces their plans to take over the world! Play as the talents of the Vtuber group Hololive to fight your way through the minions of holoX and put a stop to their plans in this classic style beat-em-up!”
The game features different Hololive talents under the NePoLaBo group: Momosuzu (Ne)ne, Omaru (Po)lka, Yukihana (La)my, and Shishiro (Bo)tan. Each of them have their own unique abilities and super attacks. Not only that, the title features up to 4 players local and online multiplayer co-op, and harder difficulties to challenge yourself if you feel the default game is easy. Oh, and 140+ emotes specially drawn by over 20 guest artists.
For now, here’s the Steam page for the upcoming free game; it’s on PC in case you didn’t know. The game will be out on 29 March.
