Since birth, BrolyLegs had a rare medical condition called arthrogryposis, leaving his limbs unusable and largely immobile. Nevertheless, he is one of the top Street Fighter 4 players using Chun-Li via a method of using controllers with his wrist, chin, mouth, and face.
Here are a few touching posts and notes from the fighting game community worldwide regarding his skill and work, as well as his can-do attitude in life.
We've only had a few interactions, but they were all fun and showed his kindness as a person. I did not expect this to happen anytime soon and it absolutely breaks my heart
Rest in peace Brolylegs— Celina????? (@tkn0801) March 19, 2024
Rest in peace.

Mike was a huge inspiration to me. He was one of the reasons I felt it might even have been possible for me to overcome all my joint & nerve issues; he was a light that showed playing & competing were still possible. He had an irreplaceable optimism & sense of humor. RIP 🙁

We've only had a few interactions, mostly when we were both still doing stuff for Cross Counter (him teaching, me editing clips) but you could tell Mike had a real passion for the genre and was a great teacher, despite his disabilities. He'll definitely be missed.

The world lost an extraordinarily kind and loving person. Rest in peace to, not only one of the nicest people, but one of the best examples of what it means to kind, patient and helpful to others.

Kakuchopurei would like to extend its sincere condolences to Brolylegs’ family and friends. He will be missed.
Ya'll want positivity? I wake up everyday with no use in my arms and legs and I STILL game and train like everyone else. I teach and tutor players till 5am and sleep 4 hours just to do it all over again. I should be the negative one, but I lift my head up for the love of the FGC!
