EVERYTHING WE KNOW ABOUT BRIGHTER SHORES

The game is set to be a cozy and relaxing atmosphere that is set in a fantasy land called Adothria. Like Runescape, there will be a heavy focus on crafting . Instead of the usual classes you get in MMOs, the game starts off with 3 playable classes; Cryoknight, Hammermage, and Guardian. \

The 9 professions that has been revealed are as such:

  • Fisher
  • Forager
  • Chef
  • Woodcutter
  • Miner
  • Alchemist
  • Stonemason
  • Merchant
  • Blacksmith

There will be many more professions added but has not yet been revealed just yet.

“Creating this game has been a real labour of love. At times it has felt like an insurmountably ambitious task, so it’s amazing to finally see it coming together in the way I hoped. I can’t wait to see the world full of players enjoying what we have created.” –Andrew Gower, Creator of Brighter Shores.

Instead of using Java, Gower is using his own custom engine and programming language called FenForge.

Although the MMO will be free-to-play, the studio Fen Research will include an “all-inclusive” premium pass. The first 2 zones, Hopeport and Hopeforest will be free-to-play. However, the other areas, Mine of Mantuban and Crenopolis will be locked behind the premium paywall. There are of course other benefits behind the premium pass, which are:

  • Unique character name (without a # suffix)
  • Exclusive armour dyes
  • Name changing
  • Player to Player trading

Brighter Shores will be coming to PC and Mac via Steam in Q3 this year.
