Nintendo Announces Donkey Kong Country Remake For Switch

Nintendo has announced that Donkey Kong Country Returns, originally a hit on the Wii, is being remade for the Nintendo Switch as Donkey Kong Country Returns HD. Set to release on 16 January 2025, the game will include levels from its Nintendo 3DS counterpart and additional content.

Players will once again join Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong in their quest to reclaim their stolen banana hoard from the Tiki Tak Tribe. The HD remake offers solo play or local two-player co-op, featuring classic gameplay elements like mine carts, rocket barrels, and the iconic Rambi the Rhino ride.
