We Finally Get To See What Happened On Brendok 16 Years Ago

A young Mae and Osha.

Mother Aniseya

Played by Jodie Turner-Smith, Mother Aniseya is the mother of Mae and Osha.

Mother Aniseya Is In A Relationship With Mother Koril, So Together They Are The Moms Of Mae And Osha

Mother Koril is played by Margarita Levieva. They’re both leaders of the Witches coven.

The Witches On Brendok Are A Group Of Force Users Separate From The Jedi And They Call The Force By Another Name, The Thread

The Witches on Brendok are all Force users, but they refer to it as the Thread.

During the High Republic era, as established in the official comics, there were actually many other groups who believe in the Force or are able to use the Force. These Witches are one of them.

Mae Is More Force-Sensitive Than Osha

Mother Koril scolds Osha for not using the Force during training. Mae can naturally do it.

Osha And Mae Are Nervous For A Ceremony Called The Ascension

Apparently, the Ascension ceremony is for Mae and Osha to officially become Witches.

The Jedi Interrupted The Ascension

We learn that that the full name of Osha is Verosha Aniseya while Mae’s full name is Mae-ho Aniseya. Mae managed to complete the Ascension but Osha did not because they were interrupted by younger versions of the Jedis Indara, Sol, Kelnacca and Torbin. Torbin was Indara’s Padawan.

The Jedi Want To Test Osha And Mae As Padawans Because Republic Law Prevents Any Non-Jedi Group From Taking In Children

Also, Mother Koril Gave Birth To The Girls But Mother Aniseya Somehow Created Them Probably Via Some Dark Force Or Thread

It is said that they have no father, a similar circumstance to Anakin Skywalker.

Mae Wants To Prevent Osha From Becoming A Jedi but We Still Don’t Know The Full Details

Mae locks Osha in and tries to burn down the building but something else happens outside that we can’t see, perhaps a battle between the Jedi and the Witches.

Meanwhile, Mae apparently falls to her death while Sol manages to save Osha in time.

The episode ends with Sol taking in Osha as a Padawan and Mae waking up alone on Brendok.

Until next week, excelsior!

May the Force be with you!
