Lost Soul Aside Releases New Gameplay Trailer at ChinaJoy 2024

Sony Interactive Entertainment and UltiZero Games released an exciting 8-minute PS5 gameplay trailer for the long-awaited Lost Soul Aside at ChinaJoy 2024.

The gameplay trailer features the game’s training mode and a thrilling boss fight adorned with swirling rose petals. The visuals, combat, and gameplay are simply stunning. The fast-paced combat mechanics showcase the main character’s diverse abilities, such as summoning floating claws and teleportation, drawing comparisons to Final Fantasy 16. Director Yang Bing also provided insights during an interview on stage.

Announced at PSX 2017 as a PlayStation exclusive, Lost Soul Aside is an action hack-and-slash RPG from China-based developer UltiZero Games, marking the studio’s debut title. While specific plot details are scarce, the game has drawn comparisons to titles such as Devil May Cry.

Though details about the game’s evolution since its 2014 development inception are unclear, it is confirmed that plans for a last-gen version (PS4) have been abandoned. While the release date remains undisclosed, Lost Soul Aside is slated for release on PS5 and PC.
