Skull and Bones Charting Course for Steam Release Next Month

Ubisoft recently revealed that Skull and Bones, its pirate-themed action RPG, is set to make its debut on Steam in August. The game, which was initially launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Epic Games Store, received substantial criticism upon release. Despite disappointing reviews, Ubisoft is moving forward with plans to expand the game’s content over the next few seasons.

According to reports, Skull and Bones managed to attract a dedicated player base, with some players spending up to four hours per day playing the game. Ubisoft has confirmed that the game will support cross-platform progress, allowing players to continue their adventures seamlessly if they link their Steam account to their existing Ubisoft account.

It’s worth noting that while cross-progress is supported, players will still need to repurchase the game if they switch to a different platform. With Skull and Bones set to launch on Steam on 23 August 2024, players can now visit the live Steam page and wishlist it to their game library.
