SNK Has Confirmed New Art Of Fighting & Samurai Shodown Projects In The Works

During an SNK live panel about Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves at EVO 2024, the company has announced two upcoming projects.

When asked about the future of SNK, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves producer Joshua Weatherford said on the live panel that the company is hard at work on many different projects. While SNK cannot share all of them, they did tease two that are upcoming:

  • An Art of Fighting prequel that takes place in 70s South Town; a 1v1 fighting game like past entries.
  • A Samurai Shodown action RPG.

While these two games were rumours floating around, it’s good to see SNK confirming the existence of these two. No platforms have been announced for these two upcoming titles at this point in time. Also, Weatherford said that SNK is hiring for these two projects, so if you’re interested, you should send your resume over asap.

On a related note, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will be out in early 2025 and will continue the saga of Fatal Fury since 1999’s Garou: Mark of the Wolves.
