VCT Ascension Pacific Heads To Tokyo This September

Back in late March, we found out that this year’s Ascension will be making it’s way to Tokyo, Japan and today, Riot Games has just unveiled the first exciting details about VCT Ascension Pacific Tokyo 2024. This epic tournament is set to catapult a new team into the prestigious VCT Pacific League next year, and the journey begins on 13-23 September.

This seven-day showdown will have the grand playoffs electrifying a live audience. Ticket sales, venue info, and the full schedule are still under wraps, but stay tuned for updates.

The action kicks off with a fierce group stage, where two groups of five teams each will duke it out in a modified GSL best-of-three bracket. Only the top three teams from each group will make it to the playoffs. The best of the best from the group stage will score byes straight to the semi-finals, while the remaining teams will clash in the quarter-finals.

The playoffs promise edge-of-your-seat drama with a single-elimination bracket. The early rounds will be nail-biting best-of-three matches, leading up to a grand finale in an all-out best-of-five battle.

As of now, Revenant Esports stands tall as the first confirmed team, having emerged victorious from the South Asia region. Each of the ten regions will send their finest from Split 2 competitions, with TW/HK choosing their champs based on circuit points and Thailand hosting an Ascension Qualifier Series featuring their Split 2 winner and top circuit point teams.

And here’s the best part: you can catch all the action in eight languages! Tune in to broadcasts in English, Korean, Japanese, Bahasa Indonesia, Thai, Vietnamese, Mandarin, and Hindi.

The ultimate victor of Ascension 2024 will join the ranks of Bleed Esports in the VCT Pacific League as an Ascension representative. These promoted teams will battle it out in the International Leagues during the VCT season, enjoying league benefits and a shot at glory in Masters and Champions.

Get hyped for VCT Ascension Pacific Tokyo 2024 – where legends will rise, and dreams will be forged in the crucible of competition.
