Ys X: Nordics Global Release Date Announced at Anime Expo 2024

During Anime Expo 2024, NIS America and developer Falcom confirmed the global release date for the next action RPG title in the long-running Ys series. Titled Ys X: Nordics, the game is already available in Japan on consoles. The newly released trailer showcases the game’s launch date and includes new footage.

The trailer features Adol Christin and Karja Balta fighting alongside each other. It also includes a sample of the English voice acting for the two characters. Additionally, it provides a glimpse of ship exploration and battles at sea. The trailer also highlights the new Mana powers, demonstrating how they aid in exploration, as well as the “Cross Action” system for Solo and Duo Mode fighting.

Ys X: Nordics is set to be available digitally on all platforms, as well as physically on consoles. A $104.99 Limited Edition is available for pre-order through NIS America’s online store, and it includes:

  • Physical copy of Ys X: Nordics for PS4, PS5, or Nintendo Switch
  • An original mini soundtrack CD
  • An Art book
  • A set of art postcards
  • A Sling bag
  • Collector’s box

While the trailer previews the English voice-over, the game will also offer Japanese voice-over as an option. Additionally, while the console versions will include English or French subtitles, the PC version will feature both language options as well as Japanese.

Ys X: Nordics is scheduled for release on 25 October 2024 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
