Beyblade X Anime to Premiere on Disney XD in the U.S. Next Week
By Lewis Larcombe|July 5, 2024|0 Comment
The thrilling world of Beyblade is about to enter a new era with the upcoming Beyblade X anime, launching on Disney XD in the United States on 13 July. ADK Emotions NY Inc. and T-Licensing Inc. are bringing this electrifying series to our screens, and it’s packed with drama, action, and unforgettable battles.
But that’s not all! Our friends up north in Canada can catch the action on Cartoon Network Canada, Disney XD Canada, and Teletoon. Down under, Australian fans will join the Beyblade frenzy on 9Go! this July. And for those in New Zealand, the adventure has already begun on TVNZ since 29 June.
Europe, don’t feel left out! ADK Emotions NY and T-Licensing have big plans to roll out Beyblade X across the continent this summer and autumn. Plus, for the binge-watchers among us, the series will stream on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally, with multi-language episodes dropping later this year.
Meet Robin Kazami, an amateur Blader with big dreams but no team. After a crushing defeat, Robin is left high and dry by his friends. Enter Jaxon Cross, a former champ with his eyes set on reclaiming glory. Together, they form an unlikely duo with Jaxon donning the mysterious alias “Blader X” to challenge the reigning champion, Khrome Ryugu. Their team isn’t complete until they recruit Multi Nana-iro, a mega-popular influencer with a passion for Beyblade. With their new squad, Team Persona, they’re ready to take on the world and prove their worth.
Takara Tomy introduced the Beyblade X project in March 2023, marking it as the fourth generation in the beloved franchise. This follows the original 1999 Beyblade, 2008’s Beyblade: Metal Fusion, and 2015’s Beyblade Burst. Fans in Japan got the first taste of this new adventure on 6 October, when the series premiered on TV Tokyo and its affiliates, featuring the energetic opening theme “Prove” by ONE OK ROCK.
The anime boasts an impressive line-up of voice actors, including S?ma Sait? as X Kurosu, Sh?ichir? Umeda as Bird Kazami, and Ruriko Noguchi as Multi Nanairo. The series is helmed by Beyblade veteran Katsuhito Akiyama as chief director, with Sotsu Terada directing at OLM. Hikaru Muno lends his creative genius to the original series concept, while Kazuho Hyodo crafts the script. The character designs by Posuka Demizu, adapted for animation by Yoshihiro Nagamori, bring a fresh yet familiar look to the series.
In June 2023, the creative minds behind Beyblade X, Homura Kawamoto, Hikaru Muno, and Posuka Demizu, launched a manga in Shogakukan’s Monthly CoroCoro Comics magazine. Viz Media now licenses this gripping story for English readers.
And the excitement doesn’t stop there! The Beyblade X: XONE game is set to launch for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in Japan on 14 November. This follows the successful release of Beyblade Burst QuadStrike, the seventh season of the Beyblade Burst anime, which premiered on Disney XD in April 2023 and on Hulu in May.
Beyblade X is not just a show; it’s an adventure that promises to spin into the hearts of fans old and new. Mark your calendars and get ready to let it rip!
