By Jonathan Toyad|August 20, 2024|0 Comment
Nintendo has released a new Nintendo Direct showcasing its upcoming Nintendo Museum.
The 134-year old toy-slash-videogame empire is opening its own museum to showcase its old and new artifacts in Kyoto, Japan (where Nintendo HQ is from). The building tour in the livestream is hosted by none other than Nintendo’s legendary video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto.
Apart from Nintendo games on display from the NES to the Wii U, the museum will also feature the following exhibits & amenities:
-An area dedicated to Nintendo’s old toys & creations before the NES.
-Entry passes that are shaped after Hanafuda cards. This is the company’s way of paying tribute to its Hanafuda roots.
-A Zapper & Scope room, where anyone can use a Zapper or super Scope to shoot Koopas and other Mario villains for points.
Hanafuda card-making workshops.
-A playroom featuring Nintendo retro games with giant controllers.
And many, many more! Details on how to get entry tickets to the museum will open up on the official website soon enough. Check out the full museum tour below:
The Nintendo Museum will open on 2nd October 2024.
