The highly anticipated match between reigning champions Selangor Red Giants and Homebois smashed previous records, with 245,841 peak concurrent viewers (PCV), surpassing the 228,679 PCV set during Season 13. As Malaysia’s oldest and most popular esports tournament, MPL Malaysia continues to grow, captivating a massive audience both locally and internationally.

Marketing Lead at MOONTON Games, Fikri Rizal Mahruddin, credited the league’s success to its constant innovation and strong partnerships, remarking on the impressive growth since its humble beginnings in 2017.

Selangor Red Giants Dominate Week 1

Selangor Red Giants started Season 14 with back-to-back victories, securing 5 points to top the standings. However, their 2-1 win against Homebois wasn’t without challenges, as they conceded a game to their restructured opponents. Despite the stumble, the Red Giants remain a formidable force, bolstered by their success at the 2024 MLBB Mid-Season Cup.
