Netflix Geeked Week 2024: All The Video Game & Anime Shows Announced & Highlighted
The yearly Netflix showcase featuring a bunch of pop-culture and video game stuff has come and gone. We’ve got adaptations and games aplenty, along with a few surprises or two.
Here are all the video game adaptation announcements and anime shows:
The upcoming season will take place in the Earth Kingdom and will feature actress Miya Cech as blind Earthbender Toph Beifong.
Liev Schrieber will be voicing Sam Fisher in the upcoming animation series. Weird casting, since original Sam Fisher voice Michael Ironside is still alive and kicking.
Season 2 will be out in 2025 and will feature new characters and the rest of the Endless family. Also, Sandman creator Neil Gaiman seems to be missing in the Netflix presentation. I wonder why?
Studio Mir (Avatar: The Legend of Korra, Voltron: Legendary Defender) will be animating this Capcom game adaptation, with Adi Shankar behind the production. The show will be out on April 2025, and will feature main character Dante in an all-new story involving new demons and an anthropomorphic rabbit boss.
This new top-down isometric action game is made by Super Evil Megacorp, the makers behind TMNT: Splintered Fate and 3v3 MOBA Vainglory.
The hit manga about a retired hitman having his past catching up to him will be out on January 2025 on Netflix.
The next season of Arcane has a release date: 9th November for Act 1, 16th November for Act 2, and 23rd November for Act 3.
Netflix and CD Projekt are returning to Night City with a new Cyberpunk project. Whether it’s an animation or anime (or something completely different) is up in the air though.
Here’s a new trailer of the Tomb Raider animated series, slated for 10th October. We get to see Lara Croft with her two pistols just like in the 90s game.
The third entry in the famous puzzle game series will be out on 10th December only on Netflix Games. Also, the first game is available now on Netflix Games.
Mr 0 and Miss All Sunday will be played by Joe Manganiello and Lera Abova respectively.
