Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Teases “Big New Content” on The Horizon

Yoshimi Yasuda, the producer behind Dragami Games, recently took to social media to share some thrilling news for Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP. Yasuda hinted at “big new content” in the works for fans of the zombie hack-and-slash game.

In addition to this tantalizing tease, Yasuda confirmed that the development team is working on adding even more costumes for the character Juliet. However, specific details about these new outfits remain under wraps for now.

“We’ve started planning and developing some big new content for LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW RePOP!
We want to make sure it’s something everyone will want to play, so we’ll let you know when we’re ready to start development.
And we will continue to add costumes, so stay tuned for new costumes!”

Originally released in 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the cult classic has been revitalized in this remastered version, which includes exciting new gameplay features. Among these is the unique RePOP mode, where players use a unique and colourful pop art-inspired art style for damage effects.

Players can also enjoy an expanded arsenal of unique chainsaws with distinct functionalities, alongside a Time Attack mode complete with ranking features. One of the standout additions is Juliet’s extensive wardrobe, now featuring 30 costumes—doubling the count from the original game. Combined with four new hair colours and four different chainsaws, players can explore an impressive 750 possible combinations.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, with a release for PS4 and Xbox One scheduled for November 2024.
