Oz Builds His Empire In The Latest Episode Of The Penguin

The sixth episode of The Penguin Season 1 is now streaming on HBO GO and HBO (Astro Channel 411 / Unifi TV 401).

The events of The Penguin take place after 2022’s The Batman, as he rises to become the iconic villain from the comics. It will consist of eight episodes in its first season.

Subsequent new episodes continue every Monday, from 30 September 2024.

Starring Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb (aka “The Penguin”), the DC Studios series continues filmmaker Matt Reeves’ The Batman epic crime saga that began with Warner Bros. Pictures’ global blockbuster The Batman. Developed by showrunner Lauren LeFranc, the series centers on the character played by Farrell in the film.

Cast includes Colin Farrell (Oz Cobb), Cristin Milioti (Sofia Falcone), Rhenzy Feliz (Victor Aguilar), Michael Kelly (Johnny Viti), Shohreh Aghdashloo (Nadia Maroni), Deirdre O’Connell (Francis Cobb), Clancy Brown (Salvatore Maroni), James Madio (Milos Grapa), Scott Cohen (Luca Falcone), Michael Zegen (Alberto Falcone), Carmen Ejogo (Eve Karlo) and Theo Rossi (Dr. Julian Rush).

The Penguin Has Created An Underground Drug Empire, Literally

At the end of the previous episode, Oz started building his new underground drug empire, to distribute the Bliss drug from the sewers to all the boroughs in Gotham.

So far, it looks like his empire is growing and there’s nothing stopping him… yet.

Gotham Is Still Suffering From The Effects Of Riddler’s Attack In The Batman

After the Riddler bombings in The Batman, the poorer parts and slums in Gotham City don’t have electricity supply because most of the power is being rerouted to the rich.

It looks like Batman’s job is far from done in cleaning up the city.

Victor Aguilar Kills Squid

His first cold-blooded kill.

Roxy Tells Sofia Where To Find Oz

Bad news for the Penguin.

The Penguin Unites The Gangs Of Gotham City And Manages To Bring Electricity Back To Crown Point

Oz manages to get all the gangs of Gotham City on his side, including the Triads, in his war against the Falcone/Gigante and Maroni families.

He also intimidated a politician earlier in the episode and managed to get electricity restored in Crown Point, the place where his mother lives.

Sofia Learns That Oz’s Mother Is Still Alive

The episode ends with Sofia arriving at Oz’s mother’s home and finding both Victor Aguilar and Oz’s mother celebrating their restored electricity. This is also when Sofia discovers that Oz’s mother is alive, so she now has leverage to use against Oz and to hurt him.

Only two episodes left in The Penguin Season 1.
