[Rumour] Xbox Heavyweights To Crossover To Switch 2

Well, it didn’t take long for Nintendo’s shiny new toy, the Switch 2, to steal the gaming spotlight. Officially unveiled last week, it boasts a sleek black design, a teaser trailer for a fresh Mario Kart, and backwards compatibility for most Switch games. Naturally, fans have been buzzing about what games might grace its launch lineup, from the usual Nintendo staples to some curveballs from third-party developers.

But here’s the kicker: a recent leak suggests the Switch 2 might not just be sticking to Nintendo’s playbook. Instead, it could be borrowing a few pages from Xbox and other third-party developers—talk about an unexpected plot twist.

Xbox & Activision Games on Nintendo

The rumour mill, powered by Spanish insider eXtas1s, claims that the Switch 2 might just flex some heavyweight titles usually reserved for Xbox players. Known for dropping accurate scoops on Microsoft, eXtas1s revealed in a YouTube video that the following games could be heading to Nintendo’s latest console:

  • Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
  • Halo: The Master Chief Collection (full-priced)
  • Diablo 4 (expected in 2025)
  • A Call of Duty game (either Black Ops 6 or Warzone)
  • Fallout 4
  • Starfield
  • Tekken 8 (DLC included)
  • Elden Ring

What About the Switch 2 Hardware?

Rumours suggest the Switch 2 might pack a punch, potentially outperforming the Steam Deck. That’s a big claim for a handheld device, but if it delivers, it could change the game for hybrid gaming consoles.

As intriguing as it all sounds, it’s worth remembering that none of this has been confirmed by Nintendo or Microsoft. So, before you start daydreaming about playing Starfield on your couch without needing a NASA-grade PC, maybe keep a grain of salt handy.

What Does This Mean for the Switch 2?

If even half of these rumours turn out to be true, the Switch 2 could seriously shake up the competition. With a mix of beloved Nintendo franchises and high-profile third-party titles, it might just bridge the gap between casual and hardcore gaming in a way that no other console has managed.

So, what’s on your wish list for the Switch 2? Are you excited about the possibility of Xbox titles making the jump, or are you more interested in Nintendo’s usual magic? Either way, 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year for gamers. Buckle up.
