Lazarus, The New Anime From Shinichiro Watanabe, Will Be Out This April

The creator of Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo has a new anime series cooking, and it’s looking like a banger.

The new 13-episode anime series is called Lazarus, and it’s about the titular group that’s set its sight on hunting down a Dr. Skinner who has doomed the entire world with a mass-production painkiller called Hapuna. They also have to deal with other rogue agencies opposing Lazarus, while also finding ways to make a vaccine for Hapuna.

The show’s Japanese VO cast is as follows:

• Yuma Uchida as Leland
• Manaka Iwami as Eleina
• Megumi Hayashibara as Hersch
• Akio Otsuka as Abel
• Koichi Yamadera as Skinner

The show will make its debut on 5th April on Toonami, though it will be up on MAX on 6th April.
