PUBG Mobile 3.7: New Map, Golden Dynasty Mode & 7 Years Of Chicken Dinners
By Lewis Larcombe|March 17, 2025|0 Comment
Seven years of battle royale mayhem, and PUBG Mobile is still going strong. To celebrate, the Version 3.7 update is here, bringing a brand-new map, a time-bending themed mode, and a slew of gameplay upgrades. Whether you want to fight in a neon-drenched city, an ancient floating palace, or relive the early days of PUBG, this update has something for everyone.
PUBG Mobile’s biggest-ever map, Rondo, is an 8×8 km playground that fuses the past with the future. One moment, you’re dodging bullets in a cyberpunk-esque Jadena City, complete with neon lights, escalators, and moving walkways. The next, you’re hiding out in a tranquil bamboo forest or duking it out on a floating restaurant. For gearheads, the NEOX Factory and Test Track promise high-speed chaos, while the picturesque Yu Lin area offers a postcard-worthy battleground.
It’s not just about the scenery—Rondo changes how you play. Two different flight routes mean varied drop strategies, while EMP Zones can shut down scopes, gadgets, and vehicles mid-fight. High-value loot? You’ll have to fight Rondo Guards for it. Need a quick getaway? The Blanc SUV and the eco-friendly Pico Bus (yes, it recharges itself) have you covered. And if you like destruction, the new terrain system lets you blow up cover and send bamboo crashing down.
New weapons include the JS9 SMG, a Pickaxe (because why not), and a Stun Gun for sneaky takedowns. There’s also a Signal Jammer Backpack and an Emergency Cover Flare for added tactical depth.
If time travel and dynasty warfare sound like a good time, Golden Dynasty Mode is for you. Set in a grand, ancient palace that floats in the sky thanks to some questionable physics, this mode brings a mix of combat, exploration, and puzzles. Players can battle it out in lavish halls, traverse upper and lower island sections, and even manipulate time itself with the Temporal Rewind mechanic.
Hidden across the map are Eminence Courtyards, offering extra rewards for those willing to poke around. But the real star of the show is the Reversal Blade—a weapon that literally lets you turn back time, restoring health, reopening crates, and even dodging elimination. Upgrade it, and it becomes the Advanced Reversal Blade, complete with a self-revive feature.
For longtime players, Classic Reminisce Zones bring back the original look of PUBG Mobile’s Erangel and Livik maps. Think old-school buildings, classic terrain, and the same loot spawns from the game’s early days—plus some special weather effects to really drive the nostalgia home. These areas also hold Reversal Fragments, which can be traded for supplies.
What’s a birthday party without music? PUBG Mobile is bringing back Alan Walker’s biggest hits, including “On My Way” and “Faded,” along with his latest track, “Dust.” And because this is PUBG, there’s also an Alan Walker-themed map in the World of Wonder (WOW) mode, where players can experience his music in a brand-new way.
Feeling creative? The Walkerworld Creation Contest, launching on 13 March, lets players design their own WOW maps for a shot at a US$54,500 prize pool. Oh, and there’s an exclusive anniversary music performance from Alan Walker himself. Stay tuned.
The Metro Royale mode gets a facelift with a Gilded Palace area, an Underground Vault, and the addition of the JS9 SMG. A new Team Deathmatch: Warehouse mode lets players practice loadouts in either a Standard or Free Mode, without worrying about losing gear.
Home Mode also gets new villa styles, a Home Anniversary Event where players can choose free furniture sets, and a Find Four minigame (think Connect Four, but in PUBG). There’s even a Game Table for special missions and rewards.
Meanwhile, Cycle 8 Season 23 kicks off with new legendary items, tier rewards, and the return of Ultimate Royale. World of Wonder also gets UI improvements, category tags, and a Data Center for better performance tracking.
PUBG Mobile’s Version 3.7 update runs until 6 May. If you’re ready to drop into Rondo, wield a time-traveling sword, or relive PUBG’s golden days, now’s the time. Download the update on the App Store or Google Play Store and jump in before it’s too late.
