Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Delayed To End Of 2025
After numerous delays, the first-person role-playing game based on the Vampire: The Masquerade tabletop series is getting its (hopefully) last pushback.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is now coming out in October 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series according to publisher Paradox Interactive. The game is more or less done according to executive producer Marco Behrmann, stating that the developers are currently focusing on bug fixing, stability, and performance.
The Quick History Of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Delays
Previously, the upcoming RPG was supposed to be out in 2019 and was originally made by developer Hardsuit Labs. However, the game was delayed to later 2020, then July 2020. Past July 2020 and in October 2020, numerous lead folks on the project like Brian Mitsoda and Cara Ellison left the project.
Game designer Chris Avellone did work as a writer for the game from 2016 to 2018, but he was accused of sexual harassment (wrongfully so, FYI) so most likely his works on the game has been scrapped following the usual PR adversion on Paradox’s side.
In February 2021, Paradox Interactive announced that Hardsuit Labs are no longer working on the game. Instead of cancelling the game, Paradox brought developer The Chinese Room on board. The partnership was made official on September 2023.
This new version of the upcoming game was set to be out in late 2024, but then it’s pushed back to the first half of 2025. Now, it’s delayed to October 2025, so that’s four times the upcoming RPG was delayed.
