Lost Soul Aside Postponed To Polish Its Shine, Not Your Patience

Imagine prepping for a date, then calling to say, “I just need three more months to look perfect.” That’s exactly what developer Ultizero Games just told the gaming world about Lost Soul Aside.

Originally slated for 30 May 2025, the flashy action RPG has hit the brakes and is now pulling into the station on 29 August 2025. Why the sudden hold-up? According to CEO Yang Bing, the team wants to add a bit more spit and shine—the digital kind, not the awkward car-waxing one.

“To match the standards we’ve set for ourselves,” said Ultizero in a heartfelt, if slightly familiar-sounding statement, “we’re taking additional time to polish the game.” In dev-speak, that’s roughly translated to: we’re not done yet, but we promise it’ll be worth it.

Now, for the uninitiated, Lost Soul Aside is essentially what would happen if Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy, and a very fashionable dragon had a baby. You play as Kaser, a sword-swinging warrior on a mission to save his sister and all of humanity from some very interdimensional bad news. Oh, and he’s got a snarky dragon-buddy named Arena who’s part magical wingman, part death machine.

Gameplay-wise, it’s all about style, speed, and absolutely battering enemies with elegance. You can swap weapons on the fly, rack up anime-level combos, and carve your own skill path through a branching tree of abilities. Want more flair? You can customise your weapons with fragments that not only boost damage but make them look like something out of a cosplay fever dream.

And then there’s Arena, who lets you go full beast-mode when needed—offering extra damage, healing support, and the ability to call in some frankly absurd combo finishers like Burst Pursuits and Fusion Attacks. It’s like someone strapped jet engines to a JRPG and told it to go nuts.

So yes, it’s delayed. But at least it’s not one of those ominous, “we’ll let you know when” situations. You’ll now get your hands on Lost Soul Aside on 29 August 2025, via PlayStation 5, Steam, and Epic Games Store.

Until then, keep your swords sharp and your expectations cautiously optimistic.
