Doom Eternal Unleashes Badass Launch Trailer

Doom Eternal will be launching on March 20 (March 21 in Malaysia, according to Steam) instead of its original March 14 release date, but Bethesda has put out a launch trailer to temporarily satiate our thirst for demon-slaying.

Witness as the Slayer beheads a demon with what seems to be its own axe, wields a QUAD-BARREL plasma(?) minigun, and slaughters loads of demons with style. As the voiceover says, “The Slayer’s time… is now.”

Or March 21, I guess.

To be honest, I was a bit wary of Doom Eternal after learning that it’d have a 20-hour campaign. 2016’s Doom was great, but it got pretty tiring and repetitive towards the end. While Doom Eternal will have new upgrades, more platforming, and increased level variety and sizes, I’m afraid that the combat will still feel tiresome hours before the end.

Still, I can’t say for sure until I try the game for myself. And so far, it looks freaking great.
