Summer Game Fest 2025: All Games & Announcements

Another year, another Summer Game Fest—Geoff Keighley’s yearly crusade to convince us that a parade of cinematic trailers and “world premieres” can still make our dopamine-starved brains feel something. And to be fair, he might’ve just pulled it off this time… mostly.

What started as E3’s cooler, younger cousin has now become gaming’s equivalent of a TED Talk with a budget. You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. You’ll wonder if that was really the final trailer for a game that already has three of them.

From surprise reveals to updates on games we’ve been hearing about since the dinosaurs had LAN parties, here’s every notable announcement, hype-worthy moment, and awkward celebrity cameo from Summer Game Fest 2025—served to you in digestible bites because, let’s be honest, you’re not watching a 2-hour livestream in June.

Mortal Shell II

The bleak and brutally beautiful soulslike returns—Mortal Shell II drags you back into a crimson-drenched nightmare forged by ex-AAA devs now masquerading as an indie studio. Expect punishing combat, grotesque enemy design, and enough existential dread to keep your therapist employed.

Chronicles Medieval

From Raw Power Games comes Chronicles Medieval, a blood-and-mud-soaked journey through medieval Europe narrated by none other than Tom Hardy doing his best “grizzled warrior-poet” impression. The cinematic trailer flexed its gritty atmosphere and knight-on-knight brutality, promising a brutal crusade where honour is optional and limb removal is encouraged.

Code Vein II

Bandai Namco is back on its anime bloodsucker nonsense with Code Vein II—a soulslike sequel that mixes Final Fantasy’s fashion budget with sharp-jawed anime character designs and plenty of moody brooding. Slated for 2026, it promises more stylish suffering, outrageous weapons, and enough melodrama to power a thousand AMVs.

End of Abyss

Four years after teasing us with a concept trailer and a haunting vibe, the devs behind Little Nightmares—Section 9 Interactive—are back with End of Abyss, a top-down shooter soaked in dread. You’ll descend into increasingly nightmarish layers of hellish mystery, armed to the teeth and probably traumatised. It’s coming to PS5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC via the Epic Games Store.

Troy Baker in Mouse: P.I. for Hire

The rodent noir returns with a fresh slice of gameplay—and this time, it’s got star power. Mouse: P.I. for Hire drops a new trailer confirming a 2025 release across Steam, Xbox, PlayStation (yes, even PS4), and Switch. The big cheese himself, Jack Pepper, will be voiced by none other than Troy Baker, because of course he is.

Game of Thrones: War for Westeros

Winter is waging war in Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, a classic RTS set in the cutthroat chaos of the Seven Kingdoms. Developed by PlaySide Studios and launching on PC in 2026, you’ll command the Great Houses—or even the Night King himself—in solo conquests or all-out multiplayer brawls. Raise your banners, rally iconic heroes, and try not to get stabbed at a wedding.

Atomic Heart II

Mundfish returns with Atomic Heart II, dragging us back into its gloriously twisted retrofuturistic fever dream. This sequel dials things up to a global scale, blending alternate-history chaos with expanded storytelling, deeper RPG mechanics, and even more “what the hell is that?” moments. Expect a living, reactive world where science, madness, and player freedom collide in explosive fashion.

The Cube

No sooner had Mundfish dropped Atomic Heart II than they unveiled The CUBE, a MMORPG shooter that’s already shaking up the Atomic Universe. Picture a giant, levitating cube with spinning edges—mysterious, deadly, and full of secrets waiting to be cracked. Packed with intriguing storylines, addictive quests, and relentless progression, this one’s gearing up to keep players hooked for the long haul.

New Onimusha: Way of the Sword Trailer

Capcom’s samurai saga slices back into the spotlight with a fresh trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Revealed last December at The Game Awards, this sword-swinging action game is sharpening its blades and unveiling “Formidable Foes,” promising epic duels and enough katana-flashing to satisfy any ronin’s bloodlust.

Felt That: Boxing

The strangest knockout of the fest, Felt That: Boxing throws a puppet-powered punch straight to the feels. Crafted by Sans Strings Studio and the animation wizards at Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, this quirky boxing game blends physics-driven chaos with heartfelt humour. It’s like Rocky meets The Muppets—but with more flailing limbs and way more charm.

KILLER INN

Square Enix invites you to Killer Inn, a twisted 24-player murder-mystery action game set inside an ancient, unreachable castle where nothing is as it seems. Wolves lurk disguised among innocent lambs in an asymmetrical blood-soaked battle of wits. Killers stalk in plain sight, clues hide in the shadows, and trust is your deadliest gamble. Survive, deduce, deceive—or become the hunted in this brutal game of life and death.

New Trailer & Launch Date for ARC Raiders

Embark Studios drops a new trailer and launch date for ARC Raiders, a multiplayer extraction adventure set in a bleak, mechanised future Earth. Join the Raiders, scavenge a deadly surface, and carve out a life underground in Speranza. Survival’s the name of the game when a relentless threat looms overhead. Mark your calendars—ARC Raiders arrives on PC and consoles on 30 October 2025.

Chrono Odyssey Playtest Announced

Kakao Games invites heroes to bend time and space in the Chrono Odyssey playtest. This next-gen MMORPG lets you join the Sentinels, wield godlike powers, and answer the call of the void. Upgrade your skills, unravel dark secrets, and fight to save both ship and crew from total erasure.

Out of Words

WiredFly and Kong Orange serve up Out of Words, a handcrafted co-op platformer dripping with Coraline-style charm and eerie vibes. Perfect for those moments when you want to blame your partner for dying—again. Expect tight teamwork, tricky jumps, and just the right amount of frustration to keep things spicy.

Mafia: The Old Country New Story Trailer

Hanger 13 lifts the curtain on Mafia: The Old Country with a fresh story trailer, introducing us to the Torrisi Family and their less-than-legal business dealings. Set in a blood-soaked chapter of organised crime’s golden age, it’s all guns, guts, and greasy handshakes. The family business opens for good on 8 August 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC via Steam.

LEGO Voyagers

Annapurna Interactive reveals LEGO Voyagers, yet another two-player co-op adventure announced at this year’s showcase, where you and your brick buddy build spaceships, blast off, and maybe strengthen your friendship—or test its limits. Play online or on the same couch, and thanks to the Friend’s Pass, only one of you needs to own the game. Coming soon to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Switch, and PC.

Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny

Your favourite Nickelodeon heroes are getting a fantasy makeover in Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny—a colourful, real-time RPG that rolls beloved characters like SpongeBob into a world of swords, spells, and chaos. Fractured Blooms

From Serenity Forge comes a game that sounds like Doki Doki Literature Club! crashed face-first into Silent Hill. In this unsettling psychological life sim—allegedly based on a true story—you’ll renovate a neglected house, farm, cook, and tend to its eerie inhabitants… all while slowly realising something is very wrong. Domestic bliss has never been this disturbing.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin

The Seven Deadly Sins return—just not quite how you remember them. The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is a sprawling open-world anime RPG that bends space, time, and canon in a wild reimagining of Britannia. Featuring fan-favourites, original characters, flashy real-time combat and tearjerker storytelling, this PS5-exclusive console version wants to be the definitive anime adventure.

Jurassic World Evolution 3

Jurassic World Evolution 3 is stomping onto your screens later this year, as confirmed by a leaked trailer that fans instantly dissected like a raptor in a buffet line. The sequel adds long-requested features, including baby dinos (finally), smarter terrain tools, expanded customisation, and even flying reptiles who now strut their stuff on land, launching 21 October 2025.

Ratatan

This upcoming spiritual sequel to the Patapon games (back in the PlayStation Portable days) will be out on 25 July in Early Access form. If you love rhythm games, cute stylized creatures with four distinct playstyles, and toe-tapping soundtracks, this indie title might be something you jive with.

Try out the demo right now!

Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree

Bandai Namco unveiled Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree, a fresh roguelike from developer Brownies. Think Hades vibes, but swapped for a mystical journey soaked in Eastern mythology and charm. Intriguing, mysterious, and promising plenty of replay value.

Acts of Blood Gameplay Trailer

During SGF 2025, Acts of Blood took the spotlight—a raw, gritty hand-to-hand beat ’em up that channels the spirit of Sleeping Dogs. I’ve actually played the demo for this a while back and while a bit rough around the edges, this Indonesian solo dev gem by Fajrul FN shows serious promise for fans of brutal brawlers.

Scott Pilgrim EX

Tribute Games is back with Scott Pilgrim EX, a retro-inspired beat ‘em up that cranks the dial to eleven. Set your sights on PC and consoles in 2026 for a brawl that’s equal parts nostalgic and fresh.

Step into the shadows as this celebrity Elusive Target mission challenges you to outwit one of Bond’s deadliest foes. And the best part is that it’s available today.

LEGO Party

Fresh from Summer Game Fest 2025, SMG Studio—the Aussie minds behind Moving Out—drop LEGO Party, a cheeky multiplayer bash that’s basically Mario Party in a brick-built world. With 60 mini-games, hundreds of mini-figures, and board games crafted entirely from LEGO, it’s your chance to scrap for Golden Bricks instead of Power Stars. Host Geoff Keighley didn’t hold back, boasting over a million LEGO bricks, 300 minifigures, and a mind-boggling 700 trillion possible combinations. Yep, that’s a lot of LEGO.

Blighted

Drinkbox Studios, the creative force behind Guacamelee! and Nobody Saves the World, return with Blighted, an action RPG that throws you into a twisted western nightmare.
