Guilty Gear Strive’s Baiken Will Be Out Later This Week

It’s official: Baiken will be making her one-handed way of the sword way to Guilty Gear Strive later this month.

As mentioned earlier during the leak hours ago, Baiken will retain her fighting style, her brand of counters, and hookshot from Guilty Gear Xrd, as well as bring in a new playing stage called Lap of the Kami set in the game’s Japan Colonies. And yes, she also brings her ample pride and joy to battle.

Her skills and moves remain about the same, except now her throw and special hookshot tethers her to her opponent temporarily. The tether draws them together and the farther they are, the more damage Baiken deals when she footsies and hit confirms them. Her Overdrive attacks are her three-hit super-fast slash special and her classic handgun with fireworks ammo.

Guilty Gear Strive’s Baiken will be out on 28 January for season 1 DLC pass holders. The rest of the world who wants to buy the DLC content individually (character and stage) will have to wait until 31 January to check out her weapons of mass destruction.
