Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Gets Sequel; Warzone Chapter 2 Slated For 2022

It’s inevitable; more Call of Duty is coming your way.

The sequel to the 2019 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is coming out in 2022 and will launch alongside a new Call of Duty Warzone experience; a Chapter 2 if you will. Both of these will be developed “from the ground up” by developer Infinity Ward on a new engine, according to Activision.

The next Warzone chapter will be a massive evolution of Battle Royale with an all-new playspace and a new sandbox mode. No two matches play the same and players will define what winning looks like, at least according to the announcement. According to inside sources from Video Games Chronicle, Modern Warfare 2’s campaign will be focused on the drug war against Columbian cartels. The single-player mode will be a grittier take on 2019’s campaign, with more close-quarters combat, tricky decision making, and classic CoD set-piece moments.

No further information or trailer has been shared or revealed regarding these two upcoming titles, though to be fair, it’ll still be military shooter FPSs, so what else can change drastically?
