New LEGO Star Wars Diorama Sets Are Based On The Original Trilogy

LEGO has unveiled several new LEGO Star Wars diorama sets aimed at adults. Since they’re for adults, it’s no wonder that these new sets are taken from scenes in the Star Wars Original Trilogy, instead of the newer and more divisive Sequel Trilogy.

The first new set to arrive is the LEGO Star Wars 75329 Death Star Trench Run Diorama. It captures the moment when Darth Vader was pursuing Luke Skywalker as he tried to destroy the Death Star in Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope and features Luke’s iconic X-Wing being pursued by three TIE Fighters.

It’s made up of 665 pieces, and costs US$59.99.

The second set to be announced is LEGO Star Wars Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama (75330), which costs US$79.99. From Star Wars Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, this is the scene where Luke Skywalker crashes into the swamp where Yoda is living on Dagobah. It also includes minifigures of Yoda, Luke Skywalker and R2-D2.

The final set is the LEGO Star Wars Death Star Trash Compactor Diorama (75330). It recreates a scene from Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope, where Luke, Leia, Han Solo and Chewbacca find themselves stranded in the Death Star’s trash compactor unit. It includes all four characters, along with a bunch of LEGO pieces designed to resemble trash. It costs US$89.99.
