[Rumour] The Upcoming Super Mario Bros Movie Might Be A Musical

You can’t keep a long-anticipated movie like Nintendo’s animated Mario film a secret for too long.

The film will be about the Mario. Bros’ origins, but they do start out as heroes before discovering the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario and Luigi in the film will start off with worn-out and dusty suits with muted colour schemes. Their trademark colours from the games will be used later in the show.
The show’s art style is cartoonish and full of life; it may be similar to the art style of the Hotel Transylvania movie series by Genndy Tartovsky.
The show’s humour is mixed, with puns and meta jokes aplenty. Might be similar to fares like Wreck-It Ralph.
Characters such as Donkey Kong Jr., Pauline, and Toadsworth will be in the show as side characters. Daisy is name dropped.
Enemies in the film include the staple Goombas, Koopas, Hammer Bros., Bullet Bills, Banzai Bills, and Lakitus. New enemies include ink blobs with teeth and cute ninjas; this may be animation studio Illumination’s way of shoehorning original cute creatures into any product they make, just like with Despicable Me’s minions.
The film will have musical numbers highlighting each bit’s plot points.
The movie will open with a narration from original Mario voice actor Charles Martinet.
