Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge Walkthrough
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is out now for all platforms. If you love 2D beat-em-ups and the TMNT brand, you’ll definitely fall in love with this game.
It’s also a pretty challenging game, especially when you want to get through Arcade Mode and find the Story Mode collectibles. Here are a couple of walkthrough videos on how to get ahead in the shell game.
Basic Tips (Beyond The Tutorial)
- This game is made for multiple players. Make use of your special co-op tools like the tag team attacks like the Sandwich attack (both players press the attack button on each side of the same opponent), Tubular Spin (press attack button while hit by a dive kick performed by another player), and the Homerun Swing (press attack button on an opponent sent flying by another player).
- Taunt to get Ninja Power maxed out by 1 bar. You’ll be left vulnerable for the duration of the animation of the Taunt, so make sure to perform it if you know the coast is clear. Also, do max out your Ninja Bars before you head to the boss room, which is usually signalled by a nearby pizza near a room that looks foreboding.
- Your uppercut move (Attack+Jump) has invincibility, and can be cancelled to a Dive Kick. You can chain these moves back and forth to deal with aerial enemies, or even bigger enemies like the annoying Giant Mousers.
- You have a Dodge button to evade attacks and also initiate a follow-up attack that homes onto a nearby enemy. Use it, or you won’t get far. Enemies do hit hard and will eat up your lifebar if they gang up on you, so using either the uppercut or the dodge will at least save your skin for a second.
- Your Dive Kick is powerful, but most enemies here have anti-air moves against that. Use your other tools like your running slide (dash, then press the Jump button) or your Dodge jump attack (Dodge, then press the Attack button) to get around these countermeasures.
- If you want powerful attacks, go for Raphael or Splinter. If you like combos and speedy movement, go for April O’Neil or Michelangelo. If you want reach, Donatello or Splinter’s your main man. If you want a character whose Super Attack has a bit of movement, use April or Raphael.
