Samsung Space Tycoon: A Virtual Playground For Business Simulation Made In Roblox

Samsung has announced the Samsung Space Tycoon, which is fundamentally a virtual playground built inside Roblox for business and creative users. While Roblox was initially a game, it has to turn into a virtual meeting place with customisable assets, providing players and users more room for personalisation and representation.

On the metaverse platform, users can create, play games, and share experiences in a virtual space while using Samsung products together with the user’s toon. Think of it as a virtual marketplace with your own playable and customisable character that represents you roaming around in the said virtual environment.

The launch aims towards integrating Gen Z customers with the metaverse experience in a business and ‘tycoon’ environment virtually in which they can create their own Samsung products and interact with others.

In addition to personalised game characters, unique virtual features that users can do in ‘Space Tycoon’ include designing your Samsung products such as Galaxy smartphones, various TVs, home appliances, as well as purchasable and upgradable game items. There is some quirky stuff that you can do too. For whatever reason, you can turn the Galaxy Z Flip into a bag or a scooter, turn the Jet Bot vacuum cleaner into a hoverboard, or the Sero Lifestyle TV into a one-person helicopter. The creative ability of the platform is very much endless.

The Space Tycoon shop has currently over 20 Samsung products with various colours purchasable, which they can change randomly based on the levels achieved — new stuff will be updated regularly along the way.

Space Tycoon will be launched in 14 languages including Korean, English, Chinese and Spanish. Dedicated online events will also be held through the Samsung website with the campaign #YouMake tag which focuses on customising and collecting Samsung products.
