Sonic Franchise Has Surpassed 1.5 Billion Sales & Downloads, But…

Sega has published updated sales of its biggest franchises, claiming that one of them has gone past 1.5 billion units.

Unsurprisingly it’s the Sonic The Hedgehog franchise; the 1.5 billion units in sales count full premium game sales and downloads of various free-to-play titles that have been released over the years.

In fact, you can argue that the mobile F2P Sonic games (Sonic Dash, Sonic Runners, and so forth) have been contributing massively towards that huge number. It sure as hell isn’t Sonic Colors and Sonic Forces doing all the heavy lifting. You can check out the sales figures of Sega’s catalogue below:
