Production I.G’s Anime Beans Streaming App Shuts Down This March
By Alleef Ashaari|January 31, 2023|0 Comment
Japanese animation studio Production I.G has announced that its Anime Beans anime app will no longer be operational starting from 31 March 2023.
Originally, Production I.G launched the Tate Anime (Vertical Anime) app in June 2017 and it lasted until May 2018. The app was then relaunched in June 2018 with the new Anime Beans name. The app offered three-minute vertical anime shorts that were updated on weekdays, and each series had about 10 episodes. Anime Beans also offers original anime, as well as anime from studios under the I.G Port umbrella, which includes Attack On Titan and Welcome To The Ballroom.
There is fierce competition among streaming services out there, especially when it comes to anime. Streaming giants like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are already duking it out and grabbing the popular anime out there, so it’s extremely difficult for smaller streaming services to even stand a chance of competing.
