Hololive Is Currently Dealing With 146 Slander And Defamation Cases

Hololive and its talents are so big and popular, it’s not surprising to see a lot of the genre’s more hardcore fans and “enthusiastic” followers who get more than vocal for a particular talent.

The Vtuber agency has made a statement that it’s taking measures to combat slander and defamation: all 146 of them so far. The company plans to take legal action on the following:

  • Death threats
  • Rights infringement on bulletin boards
  • Rights infringement on social media
  • Aggregator websites

The agency will continue to improve its internal structure, work with its legal advisors, and provide a safer working environment for its talents. This statement had to be made as a number of Hololive talents have faced mental anguish that they have to take a break, as well as getting more harassment during graduation ceremonies. Examples include VTuber Axia Krone and Laplus Darkness.
