Blizzard State They Are Working On Diablo 4’s Long Beta Queue Times

Hey, if you’ve been trying to get into the Diablo 4 beta this weekend, you might have been stuck in a crazy long queue. Some folks were waiting for hours just to get in. And even if you did manage to get in, there were a bunch of issues like crashes and problems connecting with friends.

But don’t worry! Blizzard knows what’s up and they’re working on it. Diablo’s community manager, Adam Fletcher, posted on the forums thanking everyone for their patience and explaining that they’re trying to fix some issues that are causing players to get disconnected.

  • Players are sometimes unable to join a party with other players while in-game.
  • Players that are dropped from a game receive an error that their party does not exist.
  • Rubberbanding occurring with players while transitioning between zones.
  • High RAM and GPU usage occur on select hardware.

They’re also keeping an eye on a bunch of other problems like players not being able to join parties, rubberbanding, and high RAM and GPU usage. For now, they’re controlling the number of players who can get in until they can fix things up. But once those issues are resolved, they’ll let more players in and queue times will go down.

If you pre-ordered the game, you can play the beta this weekend until 21 March 3am GMT+8. If you didn’t pre-order, you’ll have a chance to check it out from March 25th-28th GMT+8. The beta has no time limit, so you can play until you hit level 25 and get a taste of almost all of the game’s first act.

Oh, and one last thing – some folks were wondering if Diablo 4 would be coming to Xbox Game Pass because of Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. But Rod Fergusson, the general manager of the Diablo franchise, said on Twitter that it’s not currently planned.
